Two UC Berkley graduates took a vacation that inspired the start of Show Me Your Mumu. They initially crafted their own DIY muumuus to show off in Miami. Deciding to continue, they perused a fashion business and formed their own store. The humble beginnings soon took a turn when celebrities like Alessandra Ambrosio, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and Kendall Jenner gave rise to the brand's name and since then, they've expanded their clothing and have become a favorite for boho style clothes.

Under their "Fairytale" section, the brand makes an emphasis to state that "our clothes are made with care and never mass produced," and participate in sustainable efforts.
